Artwork of the week: Portrait of Olga in an armchair (1918)

During his stay in Rome with the Ballets Russes in February 1917, Picasso met the ballerina Olga Kokhlova, with whom he fell in love. In the course of the ten years they were together many works were born, both naturalistic and cubist, often with Olga as a model.

Artwork of the week: Study for the head of "Nude with drapery" (1907)

Study for the head of Picasso's 'Nude with Drapery' (1907), often misinterpreted as a study for Les Demoiselles d'Avignon (1907), is actually a preparatory study for another masterpiece, Nude with Drapery (1907), a small gouache painted shortly thereafter.

Vida de Picasso: ¿Quién fue David Douglas Duncan?

Born in 1916 in Kansas City, Missouri, David Douglas Duncan began his professional career as a war reporter during World War II. As part of the United States Marine Corps, Duncan found his passion for photography while documenting the horrors of the conflict.

Their Majesties the King and Queen inaugurate the last exhibition of the official Spanish program of the Picasso Celebration 1973-2023 at the Museo Nacional Reina Sofía

In 1968, when Picasso was already 86 years old and his artistic legacy had left deep traces in the art world, the Spanish genius experienced a surprising creative renaissance. In a period that lasted about six months, Picasso produced a series of prints totaling 347 pieces.
