The Picasso Celebration 1973-2023 stands out in the Observatory of Culture's Annual Report

The annual report recently published by the Observatory of Culture for the year 2023 reveals the outstanding position of the Picasso Celebration 1973-2023, ranking 18th in this influential ranking. This achievement not only underscores the magnitude of the celebration itself, but also its undeniable impact on the cultural landscape this past year.

Topping the list are the Museo Nacional del Prado and the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, thanks to their exhibitions Picasso, El Greco and Analytical Cubism and Picasso 1906: The Great Transformation, respectively, both from the official program of the Celebration.

Similarly, fifth place goes to the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, recognized for the success of its exhibition Picasso sculptor. Matter and body of the Celebration, as well as the Picasso Museum Malaga, which reached the 21st position for the homonymous exhibition. In addition, the 41st and 42nd places are occupied by the Joan Miró Foundation and the Picasso Museum Barcelona with its exhibition MIRÓ-PICASSO.

The fact that some of Spain's leading museums and art centers have achieved outstanding positions thanks to their participation in the Celebration reflects the influence that this project has exerted in the cultural context. This ranking, guided by the evaluation of more than a thousand professionals in the sector, consolidates the Picasso Celebration as a beacon that illuminates and enriches the contemporary art scene.
