The Minister of Culture, Ernest Urtasun, visited this Friday the exhibition 'Miró-Picasso', at the Museu Picasso Barcelona and the Fundació Joan Miró, which aims to close its doors on Sunday with 485,000 visitors.

He did so accompanied by the Secretary of State for Culture, Jordi Martí; the French ambassador to Spain, Jean-Michel Casa; and the Consul General of France in Barcelona, Oliver Ramadour, according to Acción Cultural Española.

First, Urtasun visited the exhibition at the Joan Miró Foundation, where he was received and accompanied by Sara Puig and Marko Daniel, president and director of this institution, respectively, and by Sònia Villegas, one of the curators of the exhibition.

Later, he went to the Museu Picasso Barcelona, where he was accompanied by the Councilor for Culture and Creative Industries of the Barcelona City Council, Xavier Marcé; the vice president of the Board of Trustees of the Fundació Museu Picasso, Genís Roca; the general director of the Fundació Museu Picasso Barcelona, María Vilasó; and Elena Llorens and Margarida Cortadella, curators of the exhibition.

Miró-Picasso', framed in the Picasso Celebration 1973-2023, which pays tribute to the Malaga painter on the 50th anniversary of his death, was the first exhibition organized and produced jointly by both institutions with the aim of "commemorating the relationship between these two artists who left an indelible mark on the history of the avant-garde and art of the twentieth century and its relationship with Barcelona".

Between the two museums, the exhibition has received more than 461,000 visitors, and is expected to reach 485,000 until Sunday, when it will close its doors.
