In the context of the 1973-2023 Picasso Celebration, an initiative promoted by the Spanish and French governments that pays tribute to the artist on the 50th anniversary of his death, Litoral magazine presents its 276th issue of the collection entitled Picasso de nunca acabar, dedicated to the artist.

The presentation of this edition will take place this evening, at 19:00, in the Hall of Mirrors of the Malaga City Hall. The event will be attended by the commissioner of the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the death of Pablo Picasso, Carlos Alberdi; the mayor of Malaga, Francisco de la Torre; the director of the magazine Litoral, Lorenzo Saval; the researcher and biographer of Picasso, Rafael Inglada; and the head of Public Administration of eastern Andalusia Telefonica, representing the company collaborating with the Picasso Celebration 1973-2023 in Spain, Leopoldo Sanchez Rodriguez.

This issue, edited by Paloma Alarcó, Antonio Lafarque and Lorenzo Saval, offers a unique look at the artist's legacy, featuring reproductions of works by diverse artists such as Amadeo Modigliani, Ramón Casas, Dalí, Juan Gris, Botero, Basquiat, Equipo Crónica, Chicano, Yan Pei-Ming, Cristian Guèmy, Yukimasa Ida, María de Campos or Lou Dubois, who interpreted the artist's face through different techniques. From conceptual pieces to cubism or abstraction, each reinterpretation reveals a unique facet of Picasso, shaped by the creativity and talent of each artist.

However, Picasso's legacy transcends visual expression and enters the literary realm, where writers, critics, historians and poets have explored and defined his work in a wide range of texts and literary creations. With its new issue, Litoral pays tribute to one of the most influential figures in art, whose legacy continues to arouse artistic and academic interest and curiosity even half a century after his death.
