The Guggenheim Museum Bilbao presents Picasso Sculptor. Matter and Body, an exhibition featuring the human figure and matter that brings together more than 50 sculptures created between 1909 and 1962 and encompasses the plurality of styles that Pablo Picasso used throughout his career to represent the forms of the human body. Questioning the limits between sculpture and painting, and the finished work and the project, this itinerary through almost sixty years of Picasso's sculptures constitutes a historical journey through cubism, abstraction, the primitive or the found object.

Organized in collaboration with the Museo Picasso Malaga, the exhibition is part of the international program Celebration Picasso 1973-2023 and is organized with the support of the Musée national Picasso-Paris and the Spanish National Commission for the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the death of the artist from Malaga, which counts on Telefonica as a collaborating company of the Spanish program.
