If there is one painting by Pablo Picasso that needs no introduction, it is "Guernica". This enormous canvas was commissioned by the Republic for the pavilion of the 1937 Paris International Exposition.

It took Picasso many months to find the subject of the canvas, but a few days after the bombing of the Basque city, he began to paint. For 33 days he worked tirelessly, until he gave shape to a painting where horror and anguish invade every inch of the canvas.

In this chapter we remember the bombing that inspired the painter, the pictorial style, the choice of color or the numerous trips he made.
