Querido Picasso es un libro del escritor y crítico de arte español Josep Palau i Fabre, publicado en 1972. Josep Palau i Fabre (1917-2008) was a poet, essayist and playwright, known mainly for his work studying and promoting the work of Pablo Picasso. His studies and publications have been highly influential in the world of art and culture. He was born in Barcelona and in 1946 moved to Paris, where he met Picasso shortly afterwards and began a friendship and artistic collaboration that would last for more than three decades.

The author became an expert on Picasso's work, and wrote a series of important books on the artist's life and work, including Infancia y primera juventud de un demiurgo, Picasso Cubismo and Picasso: de los ballets al drama. Palau i Fabre reconstructed Picasso's life itinerary from birth in Malaga to his first stay in Paris.

During his time in Paris, he had the opportunity to get to know the artist and his inner circle, which allowed him to get to know them better. Their relationship was intense and long-lasting. Picasso trusted his judgement and opinion, which guaranteed him access to his personal archives, facilitating the detailed study of Picasso's evolution.

The author was a key figure in the organisation of Picasso exhibitions around the world, and his work helped to secure Picasso's position as one of the most important and influential artists of the 20th century.

In addition, Palau i Fabre was a great promoter of Catalan art and culture, and worked on several initiatives for the promotion and dissemination of Catalan culture around the world. He was also the founder of the Centre Picasso d'Orta in Catalonia, which is dedicated to the research and dissemination of Picasso's work.
