The United States is joining in the tribute to the Malaga painter Pablo Picasso on the 50th anniversary of his death with seven exhibitions across the country that recall the different periods of his work.
One of these is the exhibition "Picasso's Landscapes: Outside the Boundary" in Charlotte (North Carolina), which reviews the artist's landscape work and can be visited until 21 May at The Mint Museum.
This travelling exhibition explores the painter's connection with this genre from the time he was a student until his death and, after its run in North Carolina, will travel to the Cincinnati Art Museum in Ohio, where it can be visited from 24 June to 11 October.
The exhibitions in the United States are part of the official programme of the Picasso Celebration 1973-2023, an initiative of the Spanish and French governments to commemorate the artist's work.
