Events for 50th anniversary of artist's death opened in September. Events in 3 countries.
With the premise that Spain must pay him the great tribute that was not paid to him during his lifetime, the events for the 50th anniversary of the death of the artist Pablo Picasso (1881-1973) have begun to take place ahead of the climax on 8 April 2023, the half-century anniversary of his death.
The 'Picasso Year' already began in September with two exhibitions in Madrid, at the Mapfre Foundation and the Thyssen Museum, as well as those open at the Picasso Museum in Münster (Germany), the Montmartre Museum in Paris, another at the Royal Museums in Brussels and the one that opened last week at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. To these exhibitions will be added at the end of the month those at the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Lyon (France) and the Picasso Museum in Barcelona (Spain).
