From the standpoint of the present, the aim of Picasso 1906 is to investigate the artist's contribution to the birth of modern art. We are faced with a Picasso filled with optimism and eager to reformulate the artistic experience. A Picasso engaged in the process and in search of the primitive, whose work focuses on two concerns: the body and interculturality. In his search for the primitive, in his continuous processual creation, conveyed above all through drawings and sketchbooks, Picasso produced a complete synergy with primitive cultures. 1906 was, for Picasso, the year of "the turning point".
