Between 1946 and 1971, Pablo Picasso produced a substantial body of ceramic work in Vallauris, at the Madoura workshop, in which he exploited the rich plastic potential of this material.
The exhibition proposes to revisit the formal and plastic research of Picasso through a set of emblematic works of this artistic creation and the way in which Picasso appropriated it as a means of expression in its own right.
This exhibition is part of a season. Indeed, the City of Vallauris Golfe-Juan wishes to pay tribute to Picasso and commemorate the links that unite Picasso to Vallauris through a weekend of festivities, May 6 and 7, 2023.
